This was a decent undercard fight... The fight started with Gugerty taking Hartt to the ground, and Hartt locked on a guillotine choke to try to end the fight quickly... Well, Hartt failed, because Gugerty was able to escape, quickly secure the mount, Hartt rolled over onto his stomach, Gugerty locked on the rear-naked choke, and finished the fight in the first round... I have no idea who either of these guys are, but I wouldn't mind seeing Gugerty fight again sometime...

This fight started off strong, with a lot of back & forth action, but James Giboo just couldn't handle the big stage of the UFC, and by the time the second round started, he was COMPLETELY GASSED... Brad Blackburn on the other hand, spent both rounds throwing HUGE bombs, punching like a madman, beating the fuck out of Giboo (Giboo had some good Jiu-Jitsu at the start of the fight, but that's about it)... In the end, Giboo just couldn't hang up, and Blackburn basically knocked him out about halfway through the second round...

This fight was actually kind of awesome... Johnny Rees started the fight by charging in with some heavy punches, and he was able to take Loughran to the ground without a problem... Once they hit the ground though, Nate Loughran went crazy with his rubber guard, and started throwing all sorts of wicked Jiu-Jitsu at Rees, eventually catching him in a TIGHT triangle... Rees fought through it all though, and beat up Loughran's face a bit, bloodying up both eyes, but Loughran was able to secure an even better triangle later in the round, forcing Rees to submit... Great fight by both fighters...

Well that was a nice little extra fight at the end of the event (they played this one after the Anderson Silva fight)... It only lasted a little bit over a minute, but it was pretty awesome... Both guys were beating the hell out of each other, and Brodie Farber started to get the upper hand with a great bunch of punch & knee combinations, I thought Markham was done for... WAIT! All of the sudden, Markham backed up a few feet and then threw a HUGE head kick knocking out Farber instantly... One of the best knockouts of all time...

This was a good solid fight I guess... Cale Yarbrough was able to hit Credeur with a handful of solid punches, but Credeur's defensive striking was just a little bit better, allowing him to basically knock out Yarbrough in under 2 minutes of the first round... I've always liked Tim Credeur, and I'm glad that he beat up Cale, since I really have no opinion of Cale...

(Peruvian Necktie)

Well then, two guys that I really dislike, got in the ring, and put on a pretty good fight to start off the live broadcast... The fight started with both guys swinging with some decent punch combos, both guys displayed pretty solid wrestling skills, Dollaway seemed to have the upperhand with the submissions for the most part, but Taylor didn't seem too worried about that... Well, he should have been more concerned, because out of nowhere, CB Dollaway locked on the Peruvian Neck-Tie (first time I've ever seen the movie) and it was pretty aweesome, almost ripping Taylor's head off... Good show by Dollaway, and Taylor looked alright too for the most part...

Wow, Anthony Johnson officially lost via bullshit... The fight was good, it lasted almost the entire 3 rounds, and the entire fight was fun to watch... Anthony Johnson is absolutely EXPLOSIVE, with some Anderson Silva style striking skills, and some solid takedown ability, he pretty much won this fight via points if nothing else... Kevin Burns has been pretty impressive so far in his 2 UFC fights, showing that he has some decent submission skills (against Roan Carneiro) and decent striking skills (against Anthony Johnson), but if the fight would have lasted until the end, Anthony Johnson would have won... The fight was literally stopped after Burns poked Johnson in the eye VERY HARD & VERY DEEP, causing Johnson to scream & fall to the ground in pain... After agreeing that it was an eye poke, Kevin Burns still won via TKO!?! MY FUCKIN' ASS... As far as I'm concerned, Anthony Johnson won this fight...

Cain Velasquez is a bad ass, and probably one of the best heavyweights in the UFC at the moment (since none of the great heavyweights are in the UFC anymore, other than Nogueira)... At this point, I would like to see Brock Lesnar fight Cain Velasquez since they're both a couple of huge prospects in the heavyweight division... I would expect Lesnar to destroy Velasquez, and then take on Nogueira for the title, but I'm sort of getting ahead of myself... At the moment, Cain just won, by pinning down O'Brien in the crusifix mount or whatever, and punched him in the face until the referee stopped the fight...

This was an awesome fight... Hermes Franca is a great striker, and a great Jiu-Jitsu guy, and he got completely handled by Frankie Edgar... Frankie beat up Franca on the feet for a few seconds, and then took him down at will, with Franca having NO answer for the takedowns at all... Once they were on the ground, Franca had 2-3 great submission attempts, but Edgar used magic to escape, and continued to ground & pound Franca, all the way until the end of the third round, giving Frankie Edgar the 30-27 decision victory...

Well that was a bit dull... Brandon Vera made his 205 pound debut at this event against a UFC nOOb Reese Andy... Brandon Vera should have absolutely destroyed him, since Reese Andy had absolutely no standup skills, but the weight cut was a bit too hard for Vera, and he lost all of his energy during the first round... Vera still pulled off the unanimous decision victory, but this fight kind of sucked... (The first round was pretty good though)...

Well wasn't that fight just the cutest little thing? Anderson Silva dominated everybody in his 185 pound weight class, and has been the champion for a while, so he decided (on short notice) to move up to 205 pounds, and beat up James Irvin... Irvin decided he would talk shit about how he's a 205 pounder, and there are weight classes for a reason, and Anderson Silva will be in trouble at 205... Well, Irvin is apparently an idiot, because Anderson Silva destroyed him in ONE MINUTE... Irvin threw a kick, Anderson caught it & countered with a punch to Irvin's eye, Irvin fell to the ground and curled up in the fetal position, and Silva dropped 8 of the hardest right hands I've ever seen, straight at that eye of Irvin, forcing the referee to stop the fight... JAMES IRVIN GOT DESTROYED... Anderson Silva is obviously an amazing bad ass, but does beating up JAMES IRVIN really prove that Anderson is the best pound for pound fighter in the world? I mean, I think he's the best, but I don't know if beating up James Irvin has anything to do with it...
