This fight was the first one they showed on the PPV, that actually had a decent amount of back & forth action. Mostly Thomas scoring points by taking Brown to the ground, and Brown scoring points with his Jiu-Jitsu offense on the ground, as well as his striking while standing. I gave the first round to Matt Brown, and he secured the second round for himself by locking on an armbar forcing Ryan Thomas to submit.

Wow, this was the first PPV event that the UFC has ever done, where they showed ALL of the fights. Weird. Anyways, this was the last fight they showed on the PPV, and it was ok I guess, but by the time this fight came on, I was pretty tired. With that being said, Mark Bocek won via rear-naked choke in the third round. Bocek looked pretty solid, Alvin Robinson, not so much.

This was a really good fight. The fight started with both guys standing & striking, eventually leading to Anjos slamming Stephens to the ground. Once they were on the ground, Dos Anjos displayed some excellent Jiu-Jitsu, transitioning into some sort of omoplata-crusifix move, but Stephens was saved by the bell. Round One goes to Anjos. Round 2 leaned more in favor of Jeremy Stephens, where he was able to display a bit of a ground game himself, while pounding away at the face of Anjos with some solid elbows. The third round was BRUTAL!!! Within the first minute, Stephens threw the most brutal uppercut ever recorded on tape, and knocked Anjos the fuck out. KNOCK OUT! AMAZING! BRUTAL! Jeremy Stephens has a huge heart, and Anjos is a bad ass too (even though he got knocked the fuck out).

Guess what!?! You'll never guess what happened! Another Jorge Gurgel fight went the distance, and it felt like it lasted 6 hours. Both guys threw tons of punches, and tons of kicks, and there was sweat all over the place. Aaron Riley wins by decision.

This was a pretty basic (but kind of enjoyable) fight. Demian Maia took Quarry to the ground,Quarry couldn't get up, Maia went for the rear-naked choke, Quarry tapped out. Open & Shut Fight. Demian Maia's Jiu-Jitsu skills are excellent.

Who the fuck is Josh Hendricks? OH! That's right! He's the guy that just got punched in the face by Gonzaga, and then fell to the ground and started crying, and tapped out, due to getting punched in the face. Gonzaga is pretty good, but who the fuck is Josh Hendricks? Oh, that's right, the guy I already forgot about. Gonzaga wins via first round KO.

FUCK YEAH! Dustin Hazelett's Jiu-Jitsu is RIDICULOUS! He's always winning fights via submission of the night, with CRAZY ass Jiu-Jitsu skills. This fight was terrific. McCrory started the fight by unleashing some fast & accurate punches to the face of Hazelett, but he wasn't able to pour it on quite heavy enough. Hazelett countered with a kick that knocked McCrory on his ass (kick to the gut) and Hazelett followed that up with a flying knee. Eventually the fight went to the ground, and Hazelett unleashed the sickest Jiu-Jitsu skills EVER, and forced McCrory to submit to a CRAZY omoplata-armbar that literally looked like McCrory's arm was about to be removed, by being completely ripped from it's socket. Dustin Hazelett is the fuckin' man.

This fight was pretty awesome, I guess. I feel bad for Joe Stevenson, because he really is a bad ass, but he's kind of like the wounded dog that keeps fighting, but doesn't really stand a chance. He could DOMINATE any of the guys in the UFC Lightweight division, as long as those guys aren't in the Top 5 or so. I feel like Stevenson is sort of in water that's a bit too deep for him. Kenny Florian on the other hand, is a mad man. Kenny Florian took Stevenson to the ground, beat him up for a minute (after securing the mount), and then locked on the rear-naked choke to secure the first round submission victory, as well as a title shot against BJ Penn for his next fight.

Welp, Brock Lesnar is the new UFC Heavyweight Champion. I fully expected him to dominate Couture, but he actually was far less impressive than I was expecting him to be. Randy Couture might have actually won the first round, I'm not 100% sure really. The second round, Lesnar won, because he punched Couture and nearly killed him. Good fight, I guess.
