Well that was just about as one-sided as a fight can get. Branch took Attonito to the ground in all 3 rounds, completely dominated him with his wrestling skills, and clearly had every grappling advantage you could possibly have, since he absorbed ZERO damage, and took the fight anywhere & everywhere that he wanted it to go. Pretty great fight for David Branch, but Attonito looked like shit in this one.

KABLAM!!! Pablo Garza HAS to be one of my new favorite fighters, every time I see this guy fight, he fucking KILLS people. He's so brutal! This time, within the first minute of the fight, he landed a HUGE flying knee, knocking Paixao the fuck out. SO BRUTAL. Pablo Garza is the FUCKING MAN!!!

That was a slick finish! This entire fight basically consisted of Pace taking the fight to the ground, and dominating Campuzano with his wrestling. Once the third round started, Campuzano had a good little flurry at the start of the round, but was taken down again, Campuzano got on top, Pace went for what APPEARED to be a triangle choke, but instead, he tucked his arm under the throat of Campuzano, had his leg over the back of his neck, grabbed his ankle and cranked, and BASICALLY choked him out with his forearm from a triangle position, with one leg. Awesome finish to cap off a really great performance by Nick Pace.

Meh... Good job by Watson getting a win on his UFC debut, he pretty much won all 3 rounds, by taking Sako to the ground, and beating him up with random strikes periodically. Sako didn't really do much of anything in this fight, other than get back up a few times after being taken down. So yeah, this was Watson's fight to lose, and he won all 3 rounds on my scorecard. Glad it's over though.

This fight was pretty much a one-sided ass kicking, being delivered by Ian Loveland. He's a scrappy dude, and his punching power, and crisp striking, and spinning backfists, and ground & pound... It was all too much for Toner, so I gave all 3 rounds to Ian Loveland, and all 3 judges agreed.

OH GOD! Cody McKenzie is the man! Everybody knows that he's going to finish them with the guillotine choke, but nobody is able to defend it, what's up with that? This fight started with Cody rushing Wilkinson, he took him to the ground, after scrambling around, Cody went for maybe 9 guillotine chokes in a matter of a couple of minutes, finally locked one on (but it wasn't under the chin) and he nearly crushed Wilkinson's jaw with it. Cody McKenzie's guillotine skills are brutal!

This was a pretty great brawl by both guys, and I gave the first two rounds to Nam Phan due to his technicaly striking skills, but I gave the third round to Garcia for his heart, as he really turned up the pace in that final round. The judges were nuts though, one judge gave all 3 rounds to Phan (that's fine I guess), and two of them gave it to Garcia, 29-28... ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?! Luckily, I have some control over here on my end, so I'm not going to take away Garcia's victory, but I'm also going to give Nam Phan the points for a split-decision victory, because I don't think this fight was worth making his UFC debut a loss. So as far as I'm concerned, both guys win! Yay!

Damn... I'm a big fan of Johny Hendricks, so I'm disappointed in the fact that Rick Story pretty much kicked his ass for all 3 rounds. I mean, Hendricks looked like he was still in there, trying to win, but he wasted too much time going for takedowns that he was never able to secure. In the meantime, Story was throwing crazy punch combinations & winning most of the grappling exchanges, so in the end, Rick Story becomes the ONE black mark on the record of Hendricks.

Well, in my opinion, these guys are both ranked somewhere in the Top 10 at 185, and other than some solid grappling skills shown by Demian Maia, overall, this was kind of a boring fight. Neither guy really came anywhere close to finishing the fight, and as much as I like Demian Maia, the dude needs to work on his striking skills, for these fights where he's not really able to take the guy to the ground & keep them there. Either way, I gave all 3 rounds to Maia, and all 3 judges scored the fight 29-28, for the winner via unanimous decision, Demian Maia.

Well then, Bonnar pretty much just handed Pokrajac his ass. Bonnar was able to take down Pokrajac in all 3 rounds, he completely controlled him, pounded away at him, transitioned pretty seamlessly, etc... Just, overall, Stephan Bonnar is clearly in another league, compared to the grappling skills of Pokrajac. In the end, all 3 judges gave the fight to Bonnar, and I obviously agreed. It was a little awkward, because Pokrajac lost a point early in the fight, due to a knee to the head of Bonnar while on the ground (even though Pokrajac was on the bottom), and then Bonnar lost a point in the final second of the fight, for strikes to the back of the head of Pokrajac. What's the point of taking away points, if they're both going to end up in the same spot on the scorecards anyway?

Nice! Jonathan Brookins is this season's Ultimate Fighter Champion! This dude is a solid wrestler, with tons of heart, but his standup leaves a lot to be desired. Michael Johnson on the other hand, started off strong in the first round, knocking Brookins to the ground with a big punch, so he won that round, but ultimately, Brookins just outwrestled him during the 2nd & 3rd rounds, securing the unanimous decision victory for himself. Pretty good fight overall.
