This was a pretty quick fight. Phil Harris shot for a takedown early in the first round, Gaudinot showed some solid takedown defense, he locked on a guillotine choke, and jumped up in the air, using all of his body weight to bring Harris to the ground, rolling backwards, Gaudinot ended up in full mount with the guillotine, and Harris was forced to submit. Great win for Louis Gaudinot.

The first round was a pretty decent grappling match, where I thought Igor looked a little better, keeping top position for most of the round, and he showed better striking. Mitchell locked on a heelhook though, so that was probably the best move of the round. Close round, but I gave it to Araujo. The second round consisted of Araujo taking Mitchell to the ground, and beating the shit out of him. Mitchell still showed some solid BJJ, but I gave that round to Araujo as well. Mitchell finally got back on top in the third round, but was instantly put in a triangle choke, where Araujo threw countless elbows at his heads while up against the cage. In the end, I don't think there is really disputing the fact that Igor Araujo won this fight. Mitchell had a few moments where his leg lock attempts looked scary, but he wasn't able to finish anything.

This fight was kind of weird. It was very close, but I personally gave the first two rounds to Brad Scott, so I thought he should have won. The first round was really close, Scott kicked Silva's ass in the second round, and after a weird low blow, the referee told them to keep fighting, Silva said "No way man!" and ran away holding his balls, and Scott just looked at the referee like "Do I keep fighting? Or what?" It was weird. Silva sort of made a comeback in the third round though, and outgrappled Scott. In the end, Silva wins via unanimous decision.

This was a cool fight, Luke Barnatt basically boxed the shit out of Nilsson for the entire first round, until he eventually crumbled into a ball in the corner. Luke Barnatt is going to be hard to beat at 185 with his insane height advantage over most fighters. Mats Nilsson gave it a shot, but ultimately, didn't stand a chance. I have to admit though, after seeing the way Anderson Silva collapsed after snapping his leg, I'm a little concerned for Luke Barnatt, since his legs are looking pretty lanky as well. I'll be keeping an eye on those, in case he decides to start throwing leg kicks against someone like Rousimar Palhares or something.

Yikes! That was a brutal guillotine choke. For some reason, I thought Diabate retired after his last fight, so I'm not sure why he's back again, but Latifi shot for a takedown, got the mount, showed some great grappling skills, locked on a BRUTAL guillotine, and literally almost ripped Diabate's head off. Latifi might actually be more legit than I thought, after his short notice loss against Mousasi. Awesome fight for Latifi.

Omari looked solid when this fight started, throwing some hard punches, keeping his distance, etc... BUT! Gunnar Nelson took him to the ground, 100% dominated him on the ground, beat the shit out of him with punches & elbows, and eventually locked on a QUICK guillotine choke, forcing Akhmedov to submit. Another great win for Gunnar Nelson!

As usual, this was another excellent fight from Brad Pickett. Neil Seery is a gamer, and he fought the shit out of Pickett, but ultimately, Pickett was more aggressive, his striking looked more lethal, he slammed him a few times, and ended up winning all 3 rounds in my opinion, and the judges basically agreed, giving Pickett the fight via unanimous decision.

Well, I always want Melvin Guillard to come out and destroy people, and lately he's been sort of disappointing me. Michael Johnson brought his A-Game tonight though, and pretty much kicked Melvin's ass in the 2nd & 3rd rounds. I gave the first round to Melvin, but it wasn't anywhere near enough to win the fight for him. Good show by Michael Johnson, and in my opinion, this should put him safely in the Top 10 at 155.

Awesome! Manuwa is a badass, and I thought he had more of a chance in this fight, than most people gave him credit for, BUT, Gustafsson chopped him down with big hands, and a knee, and if the referee wouldn't have been there to stop the fight, Gustafsson probably would have killed Manuwa. Gustafsson is a badass!
