I don't honestly know what happened here. Pierini had no business standing with Edwards, and he got kicked in the head, once, FUCKING HARD, and apparently Pierini's entire body just collapsed like Legos, with a complete loss of control over his shoulder, and all of his other body parts. He got FUCKED UP. That was a siiiiick kick by Yves Edwards. Awesome win, and much needed for his record. It's also worth noting that Pierini's career ended here, he never fought again after getting kicked in the head by Yves. BRUTAL!
This was a pretty good brawl. Ruas showed some solid striking, and a few leg lock attempts, but for the most part, this entire fight was Fryklund throwing big right hands, bashing away at Ruas's head, eventually causing the referee to stop the fight. Fryklund is a pretty tough dude.
This was another solid scrap by Robbie Lawler, Berger tried to bring the fight to him, but in the end, Lawler was just too dominating, and he ended up knocking Berger unconscious with heavy punches on the ground against the cage. Lawler seems unstoppable so far.
Well that was interesting... Zach Light dominated Spratt for this entire fight, taking him to the ground and beating his ass, and then out of nowhere, Spratt locked on an armbar, and Light was forced to submit. Great win for Spratt, and this isn't what most people expected out of the striker.
This was a lame fight. Nick Serra has no stand up skills whatsoever. He looks like he can probably fight on the ground a bit, but his cardio was shit, so he basically fell asleep early in this fight and never really got going. Radach looked like he wanted to stand, but since Serra spent the entire fight pulling guard, it ended up just being a boring ass fight. Radach wins via unanimous decision, obviously.
This was a pretty huge fight, and it pretty much marks Chuck's official step forward towards the title. Vitor Belfort landed a lot of good shots, but ultimately, Chuck out-boxed him, and out-kicked him, and out-wrestled him, for 3 full rounds, securing Chuck Liddell the unanimous decision victory. Pretty awesome fight overall.
