This was a pretty good fight, between a couple of clear undercard fighters. Tukhugov seemed to be the better striker early on, and as he picked apart Chavez throughout the round, he cut his eye open, and eventually turned up the heat near the end of the first round, blasting away at the face of Chavez with huge punches while Chavez was collapsed against the cage, forcing the referee to stop the fight. Zubaira Tukhugov is a fighter to keep an eye on for sure!

Huh, that was interesting. Bandel made his UFC debut tonight, coming in on a 13 fight winning streak, DESTROYING everybody in the first round with submissions, so I really thought he was going to come in and take out Taisumov, and he looked pretty good for the first 30 seconds or so... BUT... Taisumov landed a huge right hand, knocking Bandel to the ground like a bullet to the head, and then he finished him off with some more punches to the face, forcing the referee to stop the fight. So yeah, pretty shitty way to end a 13 fight winning streak, but a HUGE win for Taisumov, who in his past couple of fights, has looked a little less than spectacular.

Welp, I feel like it's safe to say that Tor Troeng might be getting booted from the UFC at this point, with his 3 fight losing streak. He spent the entire fight trying to take Jotko to the ground, failing miserably and tiring himself out, and Jotko spent the entire fight picking apart Troeng with punches. So yeah, Jotko was the clear winner in this fight, even winning 30-26 on one of the scorecards. So yeah, nice win for Jotko, but another poor performance by Troeng.

Meh, this fight was ok. It was a pretty even fight, where I gave the first round to Pendred for being way more active, the second round I gave to Umalatov for knocking Pendred to the ground with a big punch. The third round was pretty close, but I thought Umalatov had better counter-striking, so I gave the fight to Umalatov, but two of the judges disagreed with me, so Pendred wins via split-decision. The crowd seemed to be on my side though, booing the decision. It was close though, so it really could have gone either way.

HOLY SHIT! With only a week's notice, Charles Rosa accepted this fight, makes his UFC debut, and was able to hang in there against one of the best fighters in the division. Still, Dennis Siver pretty much beat his ass, winning all 3 rounds, winning the majority of the grappling exchanges, almost finishing him in the first round with an arm-triangle choke, and in the third round with an armbar at the end of the fight, and Siver also won the majority of the striking exchanges while standing, BUT! Rosa is a fucking beast, and showed tremendous grappling skills, escaping multiple submissions, showing that his guard is dangerous as well, and he also has solid striking. So yeah, I'll definitely look forward to watching Rosa fight again in the future, but congrats to Dennis Siver for an awesome hard fought decision, and possibly the fight of the night.

This fight was pretty fucking boring. Musoke basically pinned Yakovlev against the cage in all 3 rounds, in the clinch, and more or less just held him there. They both landed a few decent strikes in the fight, but overall, this fight bored the shit out of me. Literally, there is a pile of shit on the floor right now, because of this fight. I don't really want to watch either of these guys fight again. Following that Siver vs. Rosa fight, this one was definitely a buzz killer.

This fight was a decent fight I guess? Cedenblad won the first & third rounds, by taking the fight to the ground, and sort of beating up Askham a little bit. The move of the fight though, was delivered by Askham in the second round, when he kicked Cedenblad right square in the face, knocking him on his ass. That was easily the most exciting moment, and it won Askham the second round at least. But yeah, in the end, based on UFC scoring, Cedenblad wins via unanimous decision, 29-28.

This fight was fucking chaos! Backstrom had a clear reach advantage, and was using it, landing some knees & kicks to the face, pretty much fucking up Wilkinson, until he landed another kick to the face, and Wilkinson countered it immediately with a huge right hand, knocking Backstrom on his ass, 100% unconscious, and Wilkinson punched him a few more times for good measure, and the referee stopped the fight. Backstrom sort of tried to dispute it, and grabbed the mic during Wilkinson's post fight interview, and shouted "That's fucked up!" But he was CLEARLY 100% unconscious, so yeah, badass amazing comeback win by Mike Wilkinson!

Wow... Latifi is a tough fighter, and Blachowicz making his UFC debut, pretty much dismantled him, in under two minutes of the first round. A solid kick to the liver, followed by sound big punches to the head, caused Latifi to turtle up, and the referee was forced to stop the fight. Jan Blachowicz looks pretty legit, but I'd like to see him fight a little longer than 2 minutes, to see how he fairs in the later rounds. Awesome UFC debut though for Jan Blachowicz!

This was another good fight! Akira landed a couple of nice punches, but Holloway ended up fucking DESTROYING Akira, with a few flurries, nearly knocking out Akira, but Akira got the clinch, tried to recover, and Holloway was like "Fuck that!" so he pushed him away, and knocked him the fuck out. Max Holloway is a fucking badass!

Hey third judge, are you fucking insane!?! How the fuck did one of the judges give this fight to Gunnar Nelson, 48-47!?! Dude's fucking nuts. But yeah, Nelson clearly won the first round, busted up Story's face, and looked sharp with his striking. Rick Story won the other 4 rounds, pretty much beating the living fuck out of Nelson for 20 minutes. So yeah, really good fight overall, but why the fuck did the one judge give this fight to Nelson? It should have been unanimous, in favor of Story. Ridiculous hometown bullshit.
