This fight started out pretty slow, with both guys talking tons of shit about how they're going to smash the other guy, but then they seemed tentative to throw down at first. Van Arsdale clearly won the first round, taking the fight to the ground and beating up Marsh, fucking up his left eye pretty badly. He started to win the second round as well, but Marsh turned it up a notch, and stole the round with his aggression. The third round, it looked like Marsh was going to finish Van Arsdale, and then OUT OF NOWHERE, Van Arsdale ended up on top, and beat up Marsh for the remainder of the round, which ended up winning the fight for Van Arsdale, 29-28 on all scorecards.

This was one of the best fights of the night, and it wasn't even on the main schedule (it was one of the fights from before the show started, that was just thrown onto the end of the PPV because they had spare time...) Joe Doerksen is a bad ass wrestler, with insane submission skills... Patrick Cote is a great striker, which helped keep the match interesting the entire time... Cote had some great defensive moves, and got out of almost all of the submission moves that Doerksen could throw at him... The match ended when Doerksen finally locked on the rear-naked choke halfway through the last round... Awesome fight...

Talk about a flamboyant extreme fighter... Ivan Salaverry put the hurtin' on Joseph Riggs, and then finished the fight with some sort of homo-erotic little fairy jig... If fighters were judged on appearance, then hands down, Joe Riggs would have been one of my favorite fighters... But the dude is young, the dude is an idiot, and he has no respect whatsoever for other fighters... Joseph Riggs deserved the ass beating that he got during this match, and all I can say is good riddance... Ivan Salaverry won the match by kicking Joe in the mouth, and then locking on the triangle choke... PERFECT EXECUTION...

This entire fight was Georges St-Pierre on offense, beating the shit out of Jason Miller, with some average quality strikes, and some really solid submissions... BUT... Jason Miller without a doubt, has the best submission defense skills that I've ever seen... He slipped out of several submission attempts throughout the match, after the submissions were already locked on... Crazy shit... Jason Miller is insane, as far as defense is concerned, but he had no offensive skills whatsoever... St-Pierre won the match by unanimous decision...

This was a pretty boring match for the most part... Both guys seemed to get tired pretty early on in the first round... It went close to the end of two rounds before Lindland locked on a really nice guillotine choke on Lutter... Other than that one lock, Lindland brought a couple of really solid takedowns, but that's about it... Lutter brought nothing to the match, other than his neck, to get choked out...

That was one of the best fights ever... It was a grudge match, since Hughes choked out Trigg in their last fight against each other... Well the match started with Trigg turning his back on Hughes, while Hughes entered the octagon (basically showing disrespect) so once they both got in the center of the octagon, Trigg got right up in Hughes' face, so Hughes pushed him, to show him that he ain't skerd!!! Anyways... The actual fight started with Trigg throwing a knee to Hughes' balls, and then nearly knocking him out with a few explosive punches... Trigg then tried to choke out Hughes with a rear-naked choke, but it was reversed, and Hughes stood up, carrying Trigg all the way across the ring on his shoulder, before slamming him on his ass... Hughes again, won this match, by rear-naked choke... Trigg can't hang with Hughes, and I think this match proved it, beyond a shadow of a doubt...

This was a pretty good fight... Both fighters gave it their all, but the pace was extremely slow for the most part... Lots of action, but most of it was slow & calculated... Travis Wiuff had a nice judo style throw early on in the match, but after that, Sobral pretty much dominated the rest of the match, just by being on top for the most part, and throwing short stinging elbows... The match ended early in the second round, when Sobral locked on the armbar on Wiuff...

This was one of the greatest matches of all time, simply because Chuck Liddell is my favorite fighter, and he FINALLY WON THE LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!!! Randy Couture came out there, looking ripped as all hell, and in the end, he ended up fighting like an amateur... He got poked in the eye by an accidental thumb, and then he got knocked the fuck out, QUICKLY... The rest of the match was pretty much just random punches & dancing in circles, but the ending was fabulous... Chuck definitely deserves the title, and finally, he proved this to the rest of the world...
