Homasi started the first round by throwing bombs, and then taking down Kelly, but Kelly got back up, tripped Homasi, mounted him, and beat him up for a little while. Kelly grabbed his back, but Homasi stood back up near the end of the round. Round one goes to Kelly. Homasi started the second round by taking down Kelly, but Kelly swept him, grabbed his back, locked on a rear-naked choke, and after a bit of a struggle, pulled off the submission victory halfway through the second round. Nice win for Kelly in his Strikeforce debut.

The first round started slow, but ended with Hassan beating up Keenan with punches, rocking him a few times, and constantly moving forward. The second round was more of the same, with Hassan moving forward, throwing punches, until he knocked out Keenan against the cage, about halfway through the second round. Decent Strikeforce debut for Hayder Hassan.

Alfonso came out swinging, throwing some nice punch combinations, but not really connecting with anything. Matta mostly just covered up and stood there, throwing shitty leg kicks. Matta eventually shot in for a takedown, but got caught in a guillotine choke. He popped his head out, Alfonso slapped on a quick armbar, and Matta was forced to tap within the first two minutes of the opening round. Nice quick submission victory for Pablo Alfonso.

The first two rounds of this fight had Hieron pretty much beating up Riggs, with ground & pound, and combinations while standing. The third round started with Riggs blasting Hieron in the face, rocking him, but Hieron was able to take him down again, and beat him up some more until the bell sounded. Nice 30-27 victory for Hieron in my opinion, and for the most part, all 3 judges agreed.

Wes Sims tried to turn this into a pro wrestling match, taunting Lashley at the start of the fight, turning the fight into a joke. Lashley took him down, controlled him, beat him up with short punches, and eventually finished him with a series of punches to the back of the head. I guess this is probably the biggest win in Lashley's career so far, but Wes Sims is kind of a joke, so... Nice win for Lashley, but he still looked a bit too tense, and I feel like he'll have trouble once he starts facing a higher level of competition.

This fight was kind of hard to watch, if you're a Lawler fan. Manhoef was picking him apart, with hard punches, and BRUTAL kicks to the body & legs, leaving Lawler limping around, with his head wobbling, and it looked like Lawler was going to go down at any second. AND THEN! OUT OF NOWHERE! Lawler smashed Manhoef in the face with a huge right hand, knocked him to the ground, and finished him off with a couple more punches. This was one of those amazing highlight reel comebacks for Robbie Lawler. Great fight, and awesome win against a SCARY opponent in Melvin Manhoef.

This fight was a scrap! Both girls have really sharp striking skills, and they both beat the hell out of each other, but for the most part, this was Cyborg's fight to lose, and she obviously was not willing to lose. She beat the crap out of Coenen in the first round, getting her to the ground, and going old school Tito Ortiz on her. The second round started, Cyborg was throwing reckless punches, and knocked Coenen on her ass, so she followed her to the ground, and again, beat the crap out of her for the entire round. Coenen tried her damndest to get the fight to the ground in the third round, but she failed with her takedowns, and Cyborg just beat her up on the feet, and then eventually threw her to the ground, bullied her for the duration of the round, and a little past the halfway mark in the third round, Cyborg finished the fight with some additional brutal punches. I really have a hard time believing that anybody will ever be able to finish Cyborg.

Zaromskis came out like a bat out of hell, and Diaz had his usual arms out to the side "Come at me bro" stance. From there, this fight was pretty much nonstop punches going both ways for the first 30 seconds or so, trying to knock each other out. Diaz then got the clinch, pressuring Zaromskis up against the cage, where he landed countless knees to the inside thigh of Zaromskis. They eventually broke away, and Diaz started boxing the shit out of the face of Zaromskis. Zaromskis then made his comeback, nearly knocking out Diaz, knocking him to the ground, and it looked bad for Diaz, but Diaz was able to recover, getting back to his feet, where they traded punches back & forth, and you could watch the energy draining out of Zaromskis after every shot that Diaz connected with, and eventually, he had him up against the cage, and Diaz was picking him apart with punch combinations, finally ending the fight with a big right hand. Awesome win for Nick Diaz against a tought opponent, in the Dream Welterweight Champion, Marius Zaromskis.
