Tank attacked Matua like he had killed his dog or something... Matua was talking shit about how he's the man or whatever, but Tank made him look like an out of shape piece of shit... Tank dominated this entire match, and almost killed him... Matua ended up walking out of the ring (w/ help) while wearing an oxygen mask...

Both of these fighters came out swinging, and it was a pretty close (and exciting) match for the first couple of minutes... Eventually the huge size advantage of Paul Varelans ended up proving useful, as he threw one giant elbow down at the back of Worsham's head, knocking him out instantly... This was a really good fight...

Pat Smith came into this match with a lot of fury, since he had lost his 2 previous UFC fights (Ken Shamrock & Royce Gracie) so he wanted to prove that he was actually a good fighter, and he definitely proved that point here... The match started out with Smith laying Moncayo flat with a straight kick to the chest, and then he choked him out after only about a minute or so... Great fight...

Dave Beneteau started out this match with dominance, by throwing a barrage of punches at Taktarov... He made a mistake at one point in time though, and Taktarov took control of the match on the ground, and locked on the choke... Taktarov moves onto the semi-finals...

At first it looked like it might be a close match, but eventually Tank pinned Varelans' head up against the cage, and just crushed his head with his knee... Like he was trying to get some juice out of him or something... Then while pressing his knee firmly against Varelan's head, Tank just looked up at the crowd & smiled, until eventually the referee stopped the match... Tank talks a lot of shit about all of his "skills", but I'm pretty sure that outside of punching, he doesn't have much else...

This match was actually kind of funny... Macias decided to start the match by running head first into Taktarov's arm? So basically, he tapped out to the choke, in 12 seconds... Not much else to say about the match... Taktarov actually seemed a bit disappointed that he didn't get to fight for a little bit longer...

This match was sort of billed as the main event for the evening, and it was over in a little over 2 minutes... Both Shamrock & Severn approached the match from a wrestling standpoint, because Shamrock wanted to prove that he could grapple with the best of them, and he definitely proved his point, by choking out Severn...

This match lasted 17 minutes, which I really didn't think would ever happen, considering the fact that it was Tank Abbott... I'm pretty sure this was probably the longest fight he's ever been in, and I'm impressed by the way he defended himself for the most part... Taktarov locked on several submission holds, and Tank kept breaking free of everything... The match finally ended with one last submission attempt by Taktarov, where he choked Tank Abbott into submission...
